   Began Aikido training in 1987 at the Koganei Honbu Dojo. In 1988 to 1989 graduated from the 25th Tokyo Rito Police Course. He received his teaching certificate from Soke Shioda Gozo and became an (Itaku Shidoin) assistant instructor at the Honbu Dojo from 1989 to 1993 and jointly taught the 1st, 2nd and 3rd International Instructors Course held annually at Honbu Dojo.Roland has also studied various other martial arts including Tai Kwon Do. Judo, Kyudo and Iaido. He comes from Australia.

マイケル　スタンプル

is a co-founder of the RYA dojo. He began training in 1984 in Canada. In 1993 he decided to focus on his Aikido and came to Japan to participate in the 3rd International Instructor’s Course. Following the course stayed on as an assistant instructor and was promoted to Itaku Shidoin in 1995. He's been here ever since.

She began training at the RYA dojo in 2004. Before that she had no interest in martial arts and had never imagined herself wearing a dogi or a black belt. She was awarded her instructor’s certificate in 2013.
